Lynn Turner MA

Instructor

Lynn Turner (she/her) is a native Washingtonian, wife, and mother of two children, and the proud descendant of enslaved people. She began her journey as a Waldorf educator in 2010 and has served as faculty lead teacher in the Mixed-Age Kindergarten and Nursery class at Waldorf schools in the Washington DC metro area.  


Lynn was a founding member of the AntiRacism committee at The Washington Waldorf School.  She serves as the co-coordinator of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Committee, and is a current mentor for student teachers at Sunbridge Institute.  She has been an adjunct professor at Great Lakes Waldorf Institute since 2021. Lynn has led workshops at WECAN conferences in the US and will be presenting internationally in Dornach, Switzerland at the International Birth to Three Conference this June.


Lynn is passionate about teaching young children and supporting families.  She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Sweet Briar College, an MAT in Early Childhood Education from Trinity University, and a Waldorf Early Childhood Teaching Certificate from The Sunbridge Institute.


Lynn has been published in Gateways Magazine and is the co-founder of The AntiRacist Table, an online community committed to supporting and helping people bring antiracism into life as a daily practice.
